Contact Faculty and Staff with ConexED Cards

With ConexED Cards, students no longer have to search for the support they need - it’s all easily accessible from one location. Users can customize their cards to meet their personal needs and communicate specific information.  From a user's ConexED Card, students can Knock on Doors to initiate virtual chats and meetings, schedule appointments, register for events, access employee contact information, email employees, locate campus departments, and read employee Bios. In addition, ConexED Cards can be embedded into any external website as well as within the institution's LMS so students can find the support they need quickly.

Knock on Door

One way to send a message to a staff member is via the Knock on Door Button on their ConexED Card. When an employee is online and available, there will be a green dot on their card and the Knock on Door icon will appear:

When you click this, a chat window for two-way messaging will be opened. Within the chat window, you will also find timestamps displaying the date and time of any prior messages exchanged with the staff member. To review previous messages, simply click directly on the corresponding date and time:

Send Offline Message

Another way to contact a staff member from within ConexED is by the Send Offline Message button located on the ConexED Card as shown below. If the staff member has enabled this option, you can utilize this feature to send them an email regardless of whether they are currently online or offline:

When you click on the Send Offline Message button, a popup will appear allowing you to enter a subject and message for your offline message (email). Once you are happy with your message, simply press Send to send your offline message:

Schedule Meeting

For employees that work in departments with appointments, you can access the scheduling link via the ConexED card and schedule an appointment at your convenience.

When you click on the Schedule Meeting button on a staff member's ConexED Card, the group scheduler will appear, allowing you to schedule an appointment. Please keep in mind that the scheduler displayed is associated with the group where the staff member's ConexED Card is located in the Student Support Directory.

 

In the example provided below, clicking on the Schedule Meeting button on Michael Joseph's ConexED Card under the Dreamer Counseling group would open up the Dreamer Counseling Group Scheduler:

Workshop Registration

Some staff members host workshops and will have the Workshop Registration option active on their cards:
