Learn how to save a Lobby Chat as a Meeting to effectively track and manage student interactions. By converting a Lobby Chat into a Meeting, you can include it in Meeting Reports, access it through the group Appointment Lookup, and view it on the moderator's calendar. You will also be able to access all the specific details of the interaction from the student's Meeting Details tab.
Save a Chat as a Meeting Prior to the Student Leaving the Lobby
When there has been at least one message exchanged between a staff member and a student in a direct Lobby Chat, you will notice that the User icon located in the top right corner of your screen becomes clickable:
After clicking this button, the student will be removed from the Lobby and the previous messages will be condensed. You will then see the exact date and time of the Lobby Chat, and by clicking on it, you can easily access and view the exchanged messages:
You will also see a magnifying glass icon that you can click to access the Appointment Details modal:
Student's Perspective
After saving the Lobby Chat as a Meeting, the student will receive a notification on their screen confirming that their interaction has been recorded by the moderator:
Save a Chat as a Meeting After the Student Leaves the Lobby
After messages have been exchanged between a staff member and a student in a direct Lobby Chat, you will notice that the User icon located in the top right corner of your screen becomes clickable. If the student should leave the Lobby prior to saving the chat as a meeting, the icon will remain active. In order to see the student that has left, slide the white toggle button next to the name of the Lobby.
After clicking this button, the student will be removed from the Lobby and the previous messages will be condensed. You will then see the exact date and time of the Lobby Chat, and by clicking on it, you can easily access and view the exchanged messages:
