How to Enable Your Camera and Microphone During a Virtual Cafe Meeting

This article applies to all ConexED Users and Role Permissions

Navigate the Virtual One Stop Shop in the menu and select Enter your Cafe:

When you enter the Cafe for a meeting, a window will appear displaying your profile picture. In the lower left corner, you will see icons representing your mic and webcam. By default, both options are turned off, indicated by a red circle with a line:

When you click Join Now, you will enter your virtual space.  At the top right corner of your screen, you'll find the icons for your microphone and webcam.  To activate one or both, simply click on the appropriate icon:

There are other many other settings and features available to you in the virtual cafe, including choosing a virtual background,  enabling closed captioning, sharing screen, and uploading a document. 

Make sure that your browser has the required permissions to access your microphone and camera so that you can easily enable them during your virtual meeting.
