Set Managerial Access to a Cohort

This article is for ConexED and Institutional Admins, Department Directors, Group Managers, and Cohort Category Admins.

Overview:

ConexED has enhanced the CRM and Cohort Management permissions to allow Group Managers, Department Directors, and Admins to view and edit the cohorts their staff teams manage. This enhancement enables leadership to oversee and manage staff within a cohort and see student progress without needing to be active participants in the cohort.

Key Features:

  • Leadership Oversight: Group Managers, Department Directors, and Admins can now view and edit cohorts.
  • Non-Participant Management: Leadership can make changes and view cohort and student progress without being an active participant.
  • Student Interaction: Students cannot schedule with managers, directors, or admins, and these leaders will not receive any Milestone Progress Alerts or Completion Requests.

Steps to Initiate Managerial Access:

  1. Navigate to the Cohort Admin Center: Access the main dashboard and locate the Cohort Admin Center.

  2. Select Edit Cohort: Choose the cohort you wish to manage and click on "Edit Cohort."

  3. Navigate to the Department and Groups Tab: Find and select the "Department and Groups" tab within the cohort settings.

4. Add the Appropriate Department or Group: Add the relevant department or group to grant managerial access.

Once this is saved:
  • A Group Manager will be able to oversee cohorts assigned to the groups they belong to in the Scheduling Control Center.
  • A Department Director can oversee cohorts assigned to the department or groups within the department they are a part of in the Scheduling Control Center.

Assigning Active Staff to a Cohort:

  • Navigate to the Student Support List Tab:
    • Use this tab to assign active staff members within the cohort.
    • Assigned staff will receive Milestone Completion Requests, Progress Alerts, and can be scheduled by students for meeting milestones.
